The Natural History Room

Redesigned in 2012 with the help of children from Ormer House Preparatory School this room displays information about the varied and intriguing natural environment on Alderney.

Displays include beautiful examples of taxidermy, including the famed Gannet, a small blonde hedgehog and a puffin. A table made out of an elm tree trunk creates a space for relaxing and reading the information panels or using the digital microscope to examine specimens. This room is also great for children with an area for learning through drawing, listening to the sounds of Alderney wildlife and playing with electronic games.
